A tradition in teaching...

"Appleseed Tutoring is an offshoot of Apple Pi Tutoring, started by my father, a retired math teacher. My first memories are sitting under his desk, listening to him address the class: "The only dumb question is the one you don't ask." Since taking on a few of his students three years ago, I've decided to carry on the tradition and make teaching math a full-time operation.

As business grew, the vision of Appleseed turned to establishing an outlet for students to find a tutor of any subject in one convenient place. Presently, we are a network of WVU students/graduates, and certified teachers committed to helping other students of any level and in any subject.

We do all our scheduling online through the "Schedule" page. Find a tutor you like and "Book Now" to view their availability. Only available times are displayed so choose whichever works best for your schedule. We're happy to do a first-time meeting at no charge to see if we'd make a good team.

If you have any questions beyond what is answered in the FAQ, don't hesitate to contact me directly."

A teacher has two jobs:

The first is to provide a stress-free environment where you feel comfortable communicating what does and doesn't make sense. We can't fix a problem until we know exactly what's wrong. Your current skill level is the least important factor here, no matter what class you’re taking now.  For some students, that's been the sole reason for their struggle. Sometimes a classroom environment is too scary a place to ask the questions you really need to ask and that's where the learning process ends.
